Hydro runs full Java & Bedrock cross-play: PC, console and mobile players share the same long-term Vanilla survival world. Apply once and play from whatever you have.
Most cross-play servers are big public networks with minigames, economy plugins and land claims. Most Vanilla whitelisted SMPs are Java-only. Hydro is both: a whitelisted, 18+, Vanilla survival community that Bedrock players can join on equal terms.
It's not a token feature, either. 300+ of the 3,400+ players in this world's stats joined from Bedrock. You play with the same people, in the same world, under the same rules.
The server itself runs Java, so farms and redstone follow Java mechanics. That's worth knowing if you build technical contraptions on Bedrock, and the community is happy to help you adjust.
Address play.hydrosmp.com, port 19132. Java players use play.hydrosmp.com with no port.
Yes. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch players can join through Bedrock cross-play. You still need to be whitelisted first, by applying on Discord.
No. Bedrock connects as-is. The Fabric modpack is an optional extra for Java players.
The server runs Java mechanics, so farms and redstone behave the way they do on Java Edition. Most mob farms and simple redstone carry over fine, and the community can help with the rest.
Yes. Hydro is free to play with no pay-to-win. The store only offers cosmetics and donations.
Applications take a couple of minutes, and a staff member reads every one, usually within a day. You must be 18 or older.
