How to join Hydro.

Hydro is whitelisted, so everyone starts on Discord. We support full Java & Bedrock cross-play — play together from either edition. Apply, connect, and settle in; it usually takes about ten minutes plus a short review.

Hydro runs cross-play, so Java and Bedrock players share the same world. Pick your edition — the connect details differ slightly.

From nothing to online.

Apply on Discord
Join our Discord and head to the application channel. Fill out the short form — a bit about you and your Minecraft username. A staff member reviews every application, usually within a day.

Install the modpack Java only
On Java? We run a small Fabric modpack — performance and quality-of-life mods only, no cheats. It targets Minecraft Java Edition 26.1.2; the Modrinth App installs it in one click. On Bedrock? Skip this step entirely — no mods needed.

Add the server
Once you’re whitelisted, open Multiplayer → Add Server and enter the address. Java uses just the address; Bedrock adds the port 19132.

Settle in
Say hi in chat, skim the rules, and find a spot a little away from spawn to call home. Explore the live map, hop in voice, and share your first build in the gallery when you’re ready.
